No - Elijah is not the Elijah of Rev 11
Bless you all in
Jesus name.
What a joy to be able to speak for the Almighty. I am amazed as
how folk will use you name to advance there cause but I will only
speak for the cause of God and not a man.
I have no problem with the man Al Cuppet nor Jim Searcy nor
Elijah in Jerusalem. But when they advance any thing that is not
ordained of God and seek to direct the church in these matters
then I an evolved..
The man in Israel that is calling him self as they say Elijah may
be called that and cause no problem - HOWEVER HE IS NOT THE
MANIFESTATION OF THE END TIME PROPHET MENTIONED AND WHO IS TO
COME AS ONE OF THE WITNESSES.. I HAVE DECLARED THIS SEVERAL TIME
OVER THE AIR AND ONLY NOW TO YOU AS AGAIN MY NAME AND CALLING AS
THE LAST DAY PROPHET WAS USED IN THE RECENT ARTICLE OF NEWS OF
ELIJAH BY OUR BROTHER AL CUPPETT.
Now you all know the extent of the world out reach God hath given
to me and in that I will be faithful to the elect.
These men that want to move in the circle of truth and over look
this man of God - The last day prophet, then I do and always will
question there intent.
The tribulation has not yet started and no one - any one knows by
revelation who the Antichrist is and the 2 witnesses are not yet
manifested.. The time is near but not yet. I have again spoken to
all again the word of the Lord in this matter.. You may and I
pray will send this all of the readers in Jesus name.. Bless you.

Jim -
I listened to the Real Audio messages of Elijah #3 and #4. This
message
is the message of the time. As for the information on Elijah, I
feel
this, that he is another voice crying in the wilderness. He is
strengthened by God and is empowered by God with words of
knowledge.
The truth he speaks of is this same truth we christians do know
and
profess. It is a hard message and a strong message. For those to
have
ears to hear and the truth shall be revealed. The Spirit of
Elijah is
upon us all now to give this message and none other. Let us Glory
in
Yeshua for the message alone. This is the Truth of God's Word.
Let us
all adhear to this word and strengthen each other by this word.
Whether
it be by this man called Elijah are by the Truth of God. The
message is
the most inportant part of this ministry.
In His service and love, for His glory,
his servant,

Dear Brother Jim,
I would like you to take down that quotation from me on your web
site.
I thought about it and I have no right to call him that because I
don't know
that. So I should probably ask forgiveness on that. The point
remains though that he has too long hair .....

"Jerusalem Syndrome" is alive and well in San Antonio. We have great concern that the coming millennium will generate a lot of excited activity amongst many expecting apocalyptic type events. We all must be careful to know which voice we are listening to.
Dear Jim,
Jesus warned us that many false ones will come proclaiming to be
Jesus
or a prophet of God. (Mt 24:2-5,11,23-24) We should be SLOW to
accept
anyone, and await the definite confirmation of the Holy Spirit,
not
giving undue weight to that which we see and hear naturally. God
does
not require us to make a firm statement upon such issues as who
this man
in Jerusalem may be. We are told to judge wisely (Jn 7:24) and
that we
will know them by their fruit. (Mt 7:15-19) It would be wrong and
unfair to the man himself for anyone to make any such statement
at this
time on the presently available evidence. The Lord frequently
tells us
on a "need to know" basis and it is amazing how little
we need to know!
The Lord is under no obligation to check with mankind before
acting.
I question the word he gave you that the sin of tax fraud or even
a tax
credit is America's worst sin. Surely that is not one of the
worst sins
for which the Lord will shortly judge America, compared with
39-40
million aborted children, homosexuality, sexual sins, pride,
etc., all
so ably exported to the rest of the world by radio, movies and
TV/video. At this stage I am saying this man is probably not
"the
Revelation chapter 11 Elijah" and to wait and see! All will
be revealed
to those who wait in patience, looking for what will surely come
to
pass.
John the Baptist never claimed to be Elijah, did not even know he
was
Elijah as Jesus said he was; so complete humility and meekness
are
qualities we should expect to find in such a one. The information
in
the audio messages would have had more credibility from the lips
of
another. In fairness to the man in Jerusalem, he may have simply
and
honestly answered the questions put to him. While in America,
comments
about one's self are acceptable; in many other countries that is
considered boasting.
Faithfully

Yes friends, Yeshua
is returning soon, and there is water on the Temple
Mount!
There is also Diet Pepsi, Sprite, CokaCola, Fanta, Grapefruit,
and I
think you can even find some fresh-sqeezed orange juice!
There has ALWAYS been water on the Temple Mount. During the days
of the Temple Service, how do you think we cleaned up all the
blood from the
sacrifices?
Yep, thats right... we used WATER. Water came from under the
Rocks... but shhhh.... don't spread this news around too much, or
else Moshe and Eliyahu might find out, and they will try to take
the credit for bringing the water.
But seriously, the water on the Temple Mount that all these crazy
prophecy hacks are talking about these days... was actually
brought up there by Jerusalem's Public Works Department.
The Arabs use it to water their gardens and trees, and they have
a drinking fountain or two up there. There are also toilets. You
have to have toilets for all the worshippers. And don't forget
that all them Arabs have dirty feet. You can't just go and
worship at El Aksa with dirty feet. You have to wash your them!
So, they have water, and they have water hoses, and sometimes
they even have water pumps.
Now, one day soon, when the Mashiach returns, well... He is going
to cancel the water subscription from the City, and bring some up
instead, right from the Gichon Spring, which flows well under the
bedrock of the Temple Mount.
When that happens, believe me, you won't need me to tell you
about it.
Just in case you will miss it, we can arrange to send you an
eMail or something. In the meantime, just keep your eyes focused
on Jerusalem, and chances are that you won't miss this event.
Instead of looking for Moshe or Eliyahu, like Mr. Jim Searcy and
his friends want us to do, we should be paying more attention to
the Torah, especially with regard to its prohibitions against
sorcery, false prophets, witchcraft and divination.
Searcy & Company need to grow up a lot in this regard. You
can check out their childish lunacy on the WEB at:
NEW ARTICLE POSTED
from "Millennium Madness or Prophecy Awareness?"
As we approach the year 2000, three categories of Christians are
rising to the surface. Each has a definitive view of prophecy and
many in each category will criticize or slander the other. The
first is those believing major prophetic events will happen, the
second is those believing certain events can happen, and the
third is those believing nothing will happen. It is a definite
possibility that events foretold in Scripture may occur in our
lifetime, but is there a clear difference between millennial
madness, Jerusalem syndrome, and simply being aware of our times.
There must be a clear, Scriptural approach to this phenomenon, so
that we not be led astray fall away from the faith, or damage our
testimony to the secular world.
Let us state that we are not trying to criticize anyone, but this
is a serious problem. Many people have lost credibility and
believability because of statements and rash decisions that they
have made. Unfortunately, a few individuals can do much damage on
the Body of Messiah at large and how it is viewed by the secular
world. We must consider what kind of testimony we have to the
world and stand our ground, but at the same time be tactful in
what we say.
Dear Mr. Searcy:
I must say that I continue to follow your website, and believe
that you may have a strong case of Millennium Madness or
Jerusalem Syndrome. I have been following your information for
some time, and to be frank, I think you have no credibility.
You've said that certain events will happen on certain days and
nothing has happend nor "come down."
I suggest that you read the following article on another prophecy
website. It puts people like you in your place.
Millennium Madness or Prophecy Awareness?
Any thoughts?
Yours truly,
Withheld
------
Dear Withheld -
Yes. May I post your e-mail with the Nays? I shall post withheld
until you tell me if you want just your initials, or your name,
or just withheld.
Not only did I read it but I posted it with the Nays. I did not
source it to protect his precious testimony with the world. Also
he requested in writing that I not link them or have any
association with them.
Thanks very much. Rest assured that I never give out e-mail,
phone numbers, or addresses. I beleive your comments are very
helpful. I cannot begin to relate to any of you all the things
that God showed me as I assembled those Yea & Nay witnesses.
It is staggering. There are many nuggets of gold in those
witnesses regarding the witness of Elijah.
If people were to spend the time to dilligently study those Yea
& Nay witnesses, I beleive God would reveal to them some
profound truths and principles that will greatly help them
prepare for the great tribulation that is even at the doors.
I like being put in my place. My place is enmity with the world.
I don't give a rip about my credibility with the world. Many like
the one you reference are more concerned about their witness to
world than hypocricy before the Lord. Only a proud man would be
concerned about his credibility with the world at this late hour
in time. Call it Jerusalem Syndrome, you may even call it New
Jerusalem Syndrome.
Shalom & Simcha,
Jim Searcy
Dear Jim,
Your exercise in discernment is most appropriate for the Body of
Yeshua. All of us need to finely sharpen our skills in
discernment, or we will be swept away by a current of deception
and miss our chance to be ready when the Bridegroom calls.
It is fine with me to put my words in the NO category. I hope
that my questions will move people to judge everything by
Scripture alone, and leave feelings, emotions, and personal
wishes out of the decision making process.
To answer your question about whether I have actually made a
decision concerning the modern Elijah, there are several points
to consider. First if he is, then he does not need my vote, since
as you say, we are not trying to vote him into office.
Second, I am waiting for more proof, especially concerning his
power to restore the family. I am very very interested to see if
this man can actually turn the hearts of children to their
fathers, as Malachi demands of the latter day Elijah. If I see
him doing this, then he will have my full attention. The only way
he can do this is by tearing down the power of Jezebel, which has
caused such devastation to the family(including mine). I see this
power from the White House on down to the preacher's wife.
Everywhere there is illegitimate female authority and alienation
of children from their parents. If Elijah can change this, then
he is truly a man sent from God and needs no other endorsement.
An interesting historical note here is that Elijah in the Old
Testament did not destroy Jezebel's power. He could call down
fire from heaven, but he ran from her. She was later deposed by
Jehu after Elijah went to heaven in the flaming chariot. The
modern Elijah will do something that even the mighty, miracle
working Elijah of the past could not do.This will be thrilling
indeed to see him at work against this stronghold of Satan.
Thanks again for being so vigilant and committed to truth. You
have fed and warned many of us in the Body of Yeshua. The web
site has been a steady fountain of truth amid the dry bones of
apostasy.
Shalom
Craig
Dear Mr. Searcy,
I have really appreciated the Great Joy website - in particular
the news updates. I recently listened to the Elijah phone call. I
believe Elijah and Moses will be the two witnesses talked about
in Revelation but I do not believe the Elijah on the phone is the
Elijah who will be one of the two witnesses.
Here are my reasons:
1. He talked of walking with the Lord for the past 20 years. John
the Baptist, who was the "Elijah" to proclaim Christ,
was set apart from birth - even before birth. I find it odd that
the modern day Elijah would only have 20 years experience with
the Lord.
2. He spoke of discovering Moses' identity. According to the
gospels, Elijah and Moses already knew each other at the
transfiguration of Jesus. Thus, I believe no discovery is
necessary - they already know each other.
3. Finally, I find it odd that Revelation speaks of the two
witnesses witnessing together and that Elijah so far is by
himself.
These are my reasons neither confirmed nor falsified by any
direct word from the Lord except through my interpretation of the
Scriptures.
Thank you for all you do in keeping the body informed and
well-educated about prophecy and current fulfillments of it in
the news.
Larry
You can't be
serious? Elijah is not coming alone, and he will be seen
by all. Not just by those with real audio and internet access.
The undeniable
reality is this. Israel is in the midst of the worst drought
since the last time Elijah withheld the rain. The drought
coincidentally began when the prophet Elijah confronted the
rulers of Israel. He confronted the Rabin government, the
Netanyahu government, and now the Barak government.
I have a question. How many months exactly has this Elijah been
running around Israel?
Boy, there's enough cow manure on this website to spread over all
the
farmland on earth and still have some to spare. I'm sure your
followers are
lining your pockets well. Amusing, yet, pretty twisted.
i no longer want this. please stop sending.
Bro. Jim -
I would like to ask some additional questions....
Why does this person not refer to the Lord in the ancient Hebrew
name?
And why refer to Jesus as "Jesus" instead of Yehsua?
What other languages does he speak, and does he speak with
boldness and authority?
I'm sure there are a hundred other questions, but those will come
in time.
Thanks for the reply Jim, and please keep me updated as time goes
along.
God bless,
Chuck
Jim,
I don't know if this man is Elijah or not, but I have read his
email and listened to him. From what I have read and heard he has
the one major message that we need to hear; repent, repent,
repent. If for no other reason we need to listen to his message
of REPENTANCE.
The audio quality has been excellent. I have all 4 messages
downloaded.

Holy City literally drives some mad Jerusalem
Syndrome sufferers assume
identity of biblical characters; contact with holy places is
trigger - By
Jim Avila & Tom Browkaw NBC NEWS
JERUSALEM, July 7 An unusual number of those who have come
to Jerusalem in anticipation of some otherworldly millennial
event cant seem to handle the power of the holy city.
Stricken by a mental illness termed Jerusalem
Syndrome, they say they are biblical figures and call
themselves Elijah, John the Baptist, and
even the messiah. Psychiatrists say the illness is brought on by
contact with holy places.
JERUSALEM IS an ancient city, and for thousands of years an
irresistible
force attracting pilgrims from three of the worlds major
religions.
But there is a new kind of pilgrim now, preaching doom tied to
Bible
timetables that some interpret as predicting Armageddon in the
year 2000.
Some cant handle the power of the place. One man, calling
himself Elijah,or Gods prophet, is prone to
making pronouncements like: Hes up there people,
right up there. Hes getting near. And: The
greatest place ever to be in the world is going to be
Jerusalem.
Elijah suffers from what psychiatrists call Jerusalem
Syndrome, a
genuine mental illness that often strikes deeply religious people
drawn to
the Holy City.
Elijah says hes a carpenter from California transformed by
a visit, (sent
there by God since 1984) to Jerusalem when he heard Gods
voice tell him
that leaking water near the ancient temple of the Jews spells the
end for
non-believers.
It will start flowing as drops, as a stream, and then it
will become a river. It is a sign of the coming of the
messiah, Elijah says.
Some Jerusalem Syndrome sufferers are perfectly normal before and
after
their visit here. Others transform forever, taking on the
identity of
biblical characters and REGULARLY TALKING TO GOD. (That's WIERD,
talking or listening to God)
The contact with the holy places is the trigger, says
psychiatrist Yair
Bar-El, who discovered Jerusalem Syndrome 20 years ago. Normally
he sees
three to four cases a year but the crush of millennial pilgrims
has him
worried.
"We have religious extremist Jews, religious extremist
Muslims and a lot
of extremist Christians. It can be a dangerous situation,
says Bar-El.
Exactly 2,000 years ago at the Jaffa gate, just inside the walls
of the
old city, absolutely nothing important happened. But for some
reason,
this historically insignificant site has become Mecca, Rome and
Jerusalem
for millennial pilgrims. In fact, staying at a hotel right near
the gate
are Elijah, John the Baptist, the
angel, Gabriel, and two messiahs.
One of the messiahs is a former teacher from Americas East
Coast who
arrived six weeks ago. The lodgings around the Jaffa gate are so
crowded,
he rents living space on the roof of the hotel.
I want to invite you all to come see me here in
Jerusalem, he
says. As for who made him the Savior, his answer is
simple:
Somebody has to be the messiah.
Experts say the only cure for Jerusalem Syndrome, which can
disappear in a
week, is to leave the Holy Land, cut all direct contact with the
religious
shrines, and in the year 2000 leave this ancient city to the
ancients.

World: Middle East Jerusalem's 40,000 prophets
Ernest Moch from California... or Elijah the Prophet?
By BBC Jerusalem Correspondent, Hilary Andersson
Every year tourists flock to Jerusalem in vast numbers to see the
religious sites unique to the ancient Holy City, and to
experience the aura of the mystical town where Christ lived and
died.
But for some walking through the sites of biblical legends proves
overwhelming.
Most days, a man with a long white beard can be seen sitting at a
roadside cafe in Jerusalem, with his briefcase perched next him.
In bright orange letters it bears his name: "The Prophet
Elijah".
He has the symptoms of an illness called Jerusalem Syndrome,
which afflicts one per cent of tourists who visit the city.
Born in California as Ernest Moch, he is now known as Elijah and
is convinced that he is a reincarnation of the original Prophet
Elijah from the Bible.
He says God called him to this city - and to his destiny here in
Jerusalem.
"I feel I'm at home here. I am Israelite and this is a city
of God", he says.
Unusual views
Elijah lives in a cheap hostel in Jerusalem's old city, and he
insists people had visions of him before he even arrived here in
1980s.
Since he has been here he has spent his days awaiting God's next
command, or preaching to passers by about the evils of our world.
He is not alone. In the Petra Hostel where he lives another man
prances on the roof naked, claiming to be the Messiah.
"A lot of the time you book people in that look pretty
normal; it's only when they sit down to talk that you find out
they have unusual views," says Avi Esbach, the receptionist.
Dr Bar El, a psychiatrist at one of Jerusalem's main mental
hospitals, Kfar Shaul, first diagnosed the condition of Jerusalem
Syndrome in the 1980s.
He has treated several Jesus Christs, a Virgin Mary or two, and
Samson. The Holy City, he says, attracts the vulnerable.
"Jerusalem is like a magnet that attracts people, some of
them mentally ill, some of them with deep religious convictions;
strange, rare persons", he explains.
Jerusalem Syndrome however can also affect the perfectly sane.
"Completely sane people arrive here as normal tourists and
here they develop a specific type of Jerusalem Syndrome,"
says Dr Bar El.
Cleansing rituals
It is easy to spot them. After the afflicted decide they are a
prophet, they start washing profusely and clipping their toe
nails in a cleansing ritual.
Next they put on white clothes - hotel bed sheets often do the
job - go to the Holy Sites and preach.
These tourists, Dr Bar El says, are confused between the
Jerusalem they have read about and the reality.
"They come here with an ideal and unconscious image of the
holy places in Jerusalem, and when they see the real holy places
they can't cope. They develop this psychotic reaction to build a
bridge between these different images of Jerusalem", says Dr
Bar El.
Those who were brought up on the Bible are apparently more
vulnerable, as are Protestants, who focus all their attention on
Jesus Christ and his life, rather than on the Saints and the
Virgin Mary.
Some victims are treated at Kfar Shaul mental hospital and they
are usually found to be harmless. Most recover in a matter of
days, and continue with their holiday embarrassed at what has
happened.
Recipe for confusion
"Elijah" is not a classic case. He has been preaching
as the Prophet Elijah for almost 20 years. He has heard of
Jerusalem Syndrome but still insists he is different.
"People call me a fool, they say I'm disillusioned, but I
can't deny that God spoke to me and said your name is Elijah. I
have people all over the world who walk up to me and say we know
who you are."
When Elijah preaches away no-one pays much attention. But four
million tourists are expected here for the millennium, and if the
usual percentage gets the syndrome, around 40,000 biblical
figures could be wandering the streets. This is a recipe at the
very least for confusion.
And besides - what if a real prophet turns up, or indeed God himself? We would surely all call him mad.
